Only category innovation can promote the effective and rapid development of the entire company, and only category innovation can truly create value for users and consumers. At the beginning of the new century, when Jack entered the Indian market, it developed a brand-new category based on local market demands. Even today, it still commands a very high global share.
As international markets gradually expanded, Jack began to engage in cross-border mergers and acquisitions, fully leveraging global talent, reasonably configuring and integrating various global resources. This laid the foundation for Jack's current industry status.
Although the clothing market is currently affected by tightened international demand, and the sewing machinery industry is facing pressure, Jack's approach has always been to operate countercyclically during slow seasons and increase research and development investment with a long-term mindset. In 2022, Jack's R&D investment accounted for 7% of revenue. Through continuous resource investment, the company has continuously improved its core technologies and focused on creating super blockbuster products.
In June of this year, Jack launched the "Quick Response King" smart sewing machine, achieving two core technological innovations.
While making technology outstanding, it is also necessary to deeply define value. Ruan Jixiang said that positioning cannot be ambiguous, let alone having two positions. It is necessary to focus on one point and delve deeper into the value of this critical positioning point. "The Quick Response King" successfully combined chips with machinery, integrating into AMH adaptive technology that can intelligently sense different fabrics and respond in real-time, solving a pain point that customers have had for years.
Ruan Jixiang emphasized that manufacturing industries, in particular, need R&D-driven development. Only by possessing core technologies and truly creating value for users and meeting customer needs can they achieve development.
